Garden City Community College’s Maria Carrusa begins the celebration with teammates after the Broncbusters won a game over an opponent last season at Perryman Athletic Complex. On July 18, the American Volleyball Coaches Association announced that GCCC is the recipient the 2022 Team Academic Award. The Broncbusters produced a 3.355 team grade point average with 11 players posting a 3.0 or better. Five memberes of the team: Giorgia Cappelletti, Remi Vargas, Rachel Panzer, McKenna Jagels, and Emmah Sultz were recently named to the NJCAA All-Academic squad.
