Prof. Jalil Hajizadeh, born in April 1964 in Fasa, Iran, is a distinguished academic specializing in Agricultural Entomology. He earned his B.Sc. (1988) and M.Sc. (1991) from Shiraz University, followed by a Ph.D. from Tarbiat Modares University (1995). Since joining the University of Guilan in 1995, he has focused on the taxonomy of Phytoseiidae and other Mesostigmatic mites, contributing significantly to faunal studies in Guilan Province. His teaching spans both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in entomology and acarology. Prof. Hajizadeh is a member of the Acarology Society of Iran and the Iranian Entomological Society, with numerous publications in reputable journals.
