BOISE, Idaho – Nine Boise State cross country and track and field student-athletes were named to the NCAA Division I CoSIDA Academic All-District 7 First Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced.

The 2022 Academic All-District Track & Field/Cross Country Team recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances in academics and athletics.

The Broncos’ six selections on the women’s side and three selections on the men’s side were the most among all institutions in District 7, which represents NCAA Division I programs from Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Nebraska, New Mexico, Nevada, Oklahoma and Texas.

Tyler Beling (4.0/3.57, health studies/kinesiology), a 2020 NCAA Cross Country All-American, was a mainstay in the Broncos’ lineup during the 2021 cross country season.

Beling was named to the Academic All-Mountain West team in spring 2021 and was a 2020-21 Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

Ines Borba (4.0, kinesiology) finished 12th at the 2020 MW Cross Country Championships, securing All-MW Second-Team honors. She also placed in the top 10 in the women’s 1,500m race at the 2022 MW Outdoor Championships.

Borba was named to the Academic All-MW team in spring 2021 and was a 2020-21 MW Scholar-Athlete.

Dafni Georgiou (3.76, accountancy) is a two-time Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete selection.

She was named to both the 2022 All-MW Indoor and Outdoor Track and Field Teams for her runner-up finishes in the women’s 60m hurdles and 100m hurdles, respectively.

The Larnaca, Cyprus native is a two-time NCAA West Preliminary Round qualifier in the women’s 100m hurdles.

MaLeigha Menegatti (3.60, accountancy) captured a silver medal in the women’s 800m races at both the 2022 Indoor and Outdoor MW Championships.

She is a three-time Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honoree.

Yukino Parle (3.81, kinesiology) is a four-time Academic All-MW and three-time MW Scholar-Athlete recipient.

She was the 2020 MW Indoor Track and Field champion in the women’s 5,000m race and was tabbed to the All-MW team for her performance.

Anita Taviore (3.57, social science) was the 2022 MW Indoor Track and Field champion in the women’s 60m dash and collected a silver medal in the women’s 200m dash.

Taviore is the school record holder in the indoor 60m dash, 200m dash, 4x400m relay and outdoor 200m dash.

On the men’s side, seniors Dario De Caro (3.71/3.82, biomedical engineering/mechanical engineering), Jack Leitch (3.95/4.0, mathematics) and Logan Rees (3.43/4.0, biological sciences/biology) garnered all-district status.

De Caro, the 2021 MW Men’s Cross Country champion and student-athlete of the year, collected two additional conference titles at the MW Outdoor Championships, May 11-14.

The Turin, Italy native topped the podium in both the men’s 5,000-meter and 10,000m races and was tabbed the MW Men’s Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet.

Leitch secured a top-10 finish at the 2021 MW Cross Country Championships, placing eighth and earning All-MW Second-Team honors.

He was named to the Academic All-MW team in spring 2021 and was a 2020-21 MW Scholar-Athlete.

Rees is a two-time Academic All-MW and MW Scholar-Athlete honoree.

He finished 18th at the Cross Country West Regional earning All-West Region accolades and a berth to the 2021 NCAA Cross Country Championships.
