He then pursued a Master’s degree in Ecology of Continental Aquatic Environments at the Universidade Estadual de Maringá (UEM), focusing on using ecomorphology and diet to analyze the influence of environmental conditions on fish assemblages in neotropical streams. Garcia recently completed his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at the Universidade Estadual de Londrina (UEL) in 2024, under the guidance of Ana Paula Vidotto Magnoni and co-supervision by Rosemara Fugi. His doctoral research delved into the mechanisms influencing the trophic interactions of ichthyofauna and food resources in neotropical rivers.

Teaching
