From February to December 2022, she worked under the guidance of Associate Professor Nishad Nasrin at Khulna University on the project titled “Unraveling the Effects of A Rehabilitation Program on The Socioeconomic Wellbeing of Beggars and Begging Motivation: Evidence from An Urban Area of Bangladesh.” Her responsibilities included conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, and documenting research findings. From March to July 2024, she joined Professor Md. Nasif Ahsan on the project “Mangrove Ecosystem Services and Socio-economic Resilience,” where she contributed to research design, data management, and stakeholder collaboration. š±š

Jannatul Naim’s research primarily focuses on plant stress tolerance, particularly in response to salinity, drought, and heavy metal stress in crop plants. She investigates the genetic characterization of mutant populations, examining their adaptability to environmental stressors, including rehabilitation programs for socio-economic well-being in agricultural communities. Her studies also explore the role of exogenous chemical compounds in improving stress resilience through the modulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and methylglyoxal detoxification.
