Research Focus

Dr. Makoto Kawasaki’s research focuses on orthopaedic surgery, pain modulation, and neuroendocrinology. His studies include digit replantation, chronic periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) treatment with local antibiotic therapy, and pain modulation using oxytocin. He also explores bone healing in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and investigates the effects of nitric oxide synthase on long-term potentiation (LTP) in the hypothalamus. His recent work involves evaluating knee arthroplasty outcomes and tibial condyle rotation impacts on knee ratios. šŸ¦“šŸ”¬šŸ©ŗ
