Dr. Anh Tran is a Senior Research Fellow in Health Economics at the University of Sydney’s NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre. Dr. Anh Tran’s academic journey reflects a diverse background in health economics and public health. π He obtained his PhD in Health Economics from the University of New South Wales, where his research delved into the cost-effectiveness of antiretroviral initiation treatment thresholds for HIV patients. Prior to this, he earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Queensland, focusing on the completeness of vital registration in Vietnam. Dr. Tran’s educational foundation also includes a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Hanoi University of Pharmacy, Vietnam, where he explored the economic evaluation of pharmaceutical companies in Hanoi. π₯

Dr. Anh Tran brings his expertise in health economics and pharmacy to the classroom, enriching the learning experiences of students. π At the University of Sydney’s Pharmacy School, he serves as a Guest Lecturer for courses like Pharmacy Services and Public Health (PHAR 4823) and Pharmacy Public Health (PHAR 5725), engaging approximately 125 and 70 students per semester, respectively. Additionally, he spearheads Advanced Health Economics and Financial Management (PHCM9082) since 2019. Dr. Tran’s commitment to education extends beyond Sydney; he previously served as a Course Coordinator for Pharmacoeconomics at the Hanoi School of Pharmacy from 2007 to 2009. π
