Dr. Zaineb Hamzaoui holds a Ph.D. in Biological Sciences, specializing in Microbiology, awarded in 2018 from the Faculty of Sciences, Bizerte. Her doctoral research focused on identifying carbapenem resistance mechanisms in Klebsiella pneumoniae strains isolated from the Charles Nicolle Hospital in Tunis. Prior to her Ph.D., she completed a Master’s degree in Microbiology in 2011 and a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences in 2008, both from Tunisian universities. Zaineb began her academic journey with a Diploma in the First Cycle of Life Sciences in 2006, following her high school graduation with a focus on Mathematics in 2004.

Dr. Hamzaoui has been engaged in a Postdoctoral Contract at the Faculty of Medicine, Tunis, focusing on antimicrobial resistance research. Her responsibilities include next-generation genome sequencing of SARS-CoV-2, phenotypic and molecular studies on multi-drug resistant bacteria, and managing laboratory activities. She also serves as a part-time lecturer at the Maghreb Institute of Economic Sciences and Technology, where she prepares and delivers courses. Previously, from May 2022 to March 2023, she worked as a Product Specialist at the African Biotechnology Society, specializing in product training, marketing, and customer engagement strategies. 🧬📚
