Dr. Nermen Matter’s academic journey is deeply rooted in her passion for Environmental Design. Graduating from Helwan University with a BSc in Architectural Engineering in 2006, she laid the foundation for her future endeavors. Building upon this, she pursued an MSc in Environmental Design, focusing on enhancing the efficiency of Arab architecture through sustainable development concepts. Her commitment to sustainable practices culminated in a Ph.D., where she developed a comprehensive framework for energy conservation and renewable energy integration in Egyptian architecture and urbanism. 🌍 Dr. Matter’s academic pursuits reflect her dedication to creating a greener, more sustainable future for the built environment.

Work Experience:

Dr. Nermen Matter’s professional journey showcases her dedication to architectural education and academia. Commencing as a Teaching Assistant at the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology in New Cairo in 2007, she honed her skills and expertise. Progressing steadily, she assumed the role of Assistant Lecturer from 2013 to 2017, further enriching her experience. Subsequently, she served as a Lecturer at the Higher Institute of Engineering and Technology until 2019. Her career reached new heights as she became a Lecturer of Architectural Engineering at the Modern Academy for Engineering and Technology in Maadi, Cairo, from 2019 onwards. 🏫 Dr. Matter’s professional trajectory underscores her commitment to shaping the next generation of architects.
