Dr. Vignesh Arumugam is an Assistant Professor of Botany at NGM College (Autonomous), affiliated with Bharathiar University in Tamil Nadu, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Botany from Bharathiar University and holds an M.Sc. in Botany from Bharathidasan University. With extensive research experience in phytochemistry, biotechnology, and molecular biology, Dr. Vignesh has contributed significantly to understanding plant bioactive compounds and their health benefits. He completed his M.Sc. in Botany at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India, from 2012 to 2014 . Prior to this, he received his B.Sc. in Biotechnology from JJ College of Arts & Science, Pudukkottai, India, from 2009 to 2012 . His academic journey has been marked by a strong focus on botanical and biotechnological studies, reflecting a comprehensive background in plant sciences and related fields .

Dr. Vignesh Arumugam is primarily focused on the phytochemical analysis and bioactivity of plant extracts, with a strong emphasis on nutraceuticals, ethnobotany, and green synthesis of nanoparticles for biomedical applications. His research includes identifying and quantifying bioactive compounds in plants, assessing their antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and anticancer properties, and exploring the ecological impacts of phytochemicals. He is also engaged in the conservation of medicinal plants and the development of sustainable biotechnological methods for plant-based research.
