Dr. Oluwaseun Afolabi | Leading Researcher in Religion and Peace Studies
Dr. Oluwaseun Afolabi is a distinguished researcher specializing in Religion and Peace Studies, recognized for his impactful contributions to academia and community service. He holds a Ph.D. in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, earned during the period of 2012 to 2017. Complementing his doctoral studies, Dr. Afolabi acquired a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) with a focus on Teacher Education from the National Teachers’ Institute, Kaduna, Nigeria, spanning 2014 to 2015. His academic journey also includes a Master’s degree in Peace and Conflict Studies and a Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies with Second Class Upper Division (2.1) honors, both from the University of Ibadan, covering the years 2009 to 2011 and 2004 to 2008, respectively. Sept. 2022 – Sept. 2023: Head of Department, Religious and Intercultural Studies As the Head of Department at Lead City University, I was entrusted with the leadership role for the Religious and Intercultural Studies department during the 2022/2023 academic session. Responsibilities included curriculum coordination, overseeing teaching and research activities, monitoring student performance, and managing examinations in collaboration with the Exams and Record Unit.
Dec. 2019 – Aug. 2022: Coordinator, Inter-Cultural Studies & Administration I served as the Coordinator for the department of Inter-Cultural Studies & Administration at Lead City University.
